Climate Change Conversations: Facilitating the Most Urgent Issue of Our Time
Experience a variety of climate conversations both as a participant and as a facilitator. Watch short climate change video clips and then reflect together in small and large groups. Offer your ideas to improve scripted conversation questions and work with a small group to design something new!
Share examples of climate change facilitated planning, as well as brainstorm community organizations, non-profits and government initiatives that need facilitation.
You will come away with:
1) Questions you can use to guide conversations with friends/family, as well as with groups you currently facilitate.2) Ideas of possible community groups, organizations, and other agencies to work with; those that need facilitation services as they work on climate change.3) Connections to other facilitators concerned about climate change; those who care deeply about the planet and helping facilitate a better world.4) The opportunity to join the MFN Climate Action Team; a new effort just forming as a Special Interest Group of MFN.
Facilitated by members of the MFN Special Interest Group on Climate Change. If you have Climate Change work or conversation examples you’d like to share, contact Rachel Hefte at rhefte@visi.com
