An urban environmental restoration project by MN Nature in partnership with MNDOT, City of St. Paul, and Little Bohemia Neighborhood.
Location
Neighborhood: Little Bohemia, West End / W7th, St. Paul, Minnesota
Coordinates: Grand Ave./Smith Ave. to St. Clair Ave.
This is a 1+ mile green space along 35e MNDoT sound wall.
The land is owned by MNDoT. There is a bike path maintained by the City of St. Paul Public Works.

Each Project Site: Immediately adjacent to 35e right of way—there is a bike path there, despite the route MapQuest gives—MN Nature and MNDOT has scheduled the project into 3 Improvement Sites to be landscaped over three years:
Phase 1 (2013-2014) – Park-like Area
Phase 2 (2015-2016) – Pollinator Restoration, Hillside
Phase 3 (2021) – Urban Forest

Details
To transform an unused, blighted green space surrounding a mile-plus bike path into a
vibrant urban community forest in three years, resulting in:
1. park-like area with gardens
2. wildlife and pollinator-friendly corridor
3. safe community place to gather
4. safe and interesting “nature trail” commute through W7th neighborhood
5. a place to learn about and enjoy nature
