In early July, high winds damaged several areas in northern Minnesota, and have resulted in major economic losses and significant forest management problems. To help family forest landowners, a workshop will be offered to provide info and resources for the following:
• minimize economic loss
• restore habitat for wildlife
• reforest land
• manage and deter insects and diseases
• learn about federal cost share programs.
Although the focus of the program is for people owning 20 acres of land or more, homeowners may also benefit from the program.

Instructors: Mike Albers – MN DNR Forest Health Specialist
Julie Miedtke – Extension Forester
