1.3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. QUAIL RECOVERY PLAN; REPORT.
1.5 The commissioner of natural resources, in consultation with interested parties, must
1.6 develop a detailed plan to recover the historical native population of quail in Minnesota for
1.7 its ecological, recreational, and economic benefits to the citizens of the state. No later than
1.8 January 15, 2015, the commissioner must report on the plan’s progress to the legislative
1.9 committees with jurisdiction over environment and natural resources policy and finance.
