Celebrate Earth Day with Blue Earth County
10 am–Noon All ages are welcome. Activities, craft projects, informational displays and refreshments. A highlight of the event will be a special live reptile presentation by Remarkable Reptiles at 11 a.m. Additionally, participants can make craft projects from recycled materials, take part in environmental games, enter in a coloring contest, listen to an environmentally-themed story time and enjoy face painting. The 2015 Earth Day celebration has something for everyone to learn about keeping the earth clean while having fun.

Roseville Earth Day Celebration
10–2 pm Check out the new building, the indoor tree display, Boardwalk tours, activities, crafts and planting for butterflies run from 10 am – 1:00, with performances by Will Hale and the Tadpole Parade at 10:30 and 11:45. At 1:00, the kids from Kinderberry Hill will present “The Great Kapok Tree,” followed by the popular Walking Parade. The day ends with birthday cake for all to celebrate HANC’s 25th birthday. First 100 families get a 2015 Chinook Book and everyone can enter the free drawing for a rain barrel, compost bin, or other great prizes.

Raingardens and Beyond: Clean Water, Healthy Habitat Workshops -$$$
6:00pm to 9:00pm $15 for a 3-hour workshop explores simple changes you can make on your property to protect clean water and create healthy habitats. DIY raingarden design and installation. This workshop will first give you an overview of raingardens and native plants. Then, you’ll receive recommendations for your property with assistance from Metro Blooms’ Landscape Designers and Hennepin County Master Gardeners.
