Boots and Blooms

Location: Fort Snelling State Park
Description: Dust off your hiking boots and explore the park with a naturalist while looking for the latest blooming flowers and plants.
Directions: Take the Post Road exit off Highway 5 and follow the signs.

Science Saturday
Date: 05/11/2013 to 08/17/2013
Location: Lake Vermilion State Park
Description: (times will vary, but will usually be from 8-10 am. Call the park or visit the park?s web page for more details as they become available)Join us for a fun filled Saturday as we explore the park to learn about various plants and animals. Each scheduled Saturday will have a different topic, such as butterflies or birds or plants. The programs will consists of hands on activities and in-field exploration, as well as discussions on how to continue one?s learning in various citizen science programs. Meet at the Soudan Underground Mine State Park visitor center and be prepared to be outside.May 11 Great Lakes Worm Watch – CANCEL — will reschedule

Directions: Programs at Lake Vermilion State Park meet and depart from Soudan Underground Mine State Park. Take U.S. Highway 169 to Soudan and follow the signs to the park.
