11/2 US Capitol Christmas Tree  Celebration
11–1 pm The west lawn of the US Capitol in D.C. will have a 80-foot+ white spruce from the Chippewa National Forest here in Minnesota will serve as the nation’s 2014 Christmas tree. 70 more trees will be provided by Minn. Tree Growers Assoc. to decorate the inside of the Capitol building. Come celebrate the trees first of 30 stops on its way to D.C. Enjoy photo taking, activities, treats, coffee, lemonade, face painting, ornament making, tour of select pioneer village buildings. (The D.C. tree lighting expected early December and will be broadcast on TV)
